COOKIES
Our website uses cookies to differentiate you from other website users. With this data, we are able to serve you with the benefit of our experience when you surf our website and can improve our site.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies.” Other cookies remain on your device until you delete them. These cookies make it possible for us to recognize your browser on your next visit.
Insofar as personal data is processed in this regard, we conduct this processing on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving our website for users. To this end, we only process pseudonymized data once you visit our website. The legal basis for this processing is found in Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can erase the cookies from your device at any time, and as soon as the cookies are erased we are no longer able to process any information contained in these cookies.
You can also adjust your browser settings so that you are informed about cookie placement or only allow coolies on an individual basis, deny the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general, or activate the function that automatically erases cookies when you close your browser session. You may not be able to use the full functionality of this website if cookies are deactivated.
GOOGLE ANALYTICS
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, “Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies to support us in analyzing your use of our website. The information about your use of this website generated by these cookies is transferred to a Google server in the US. We use Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp ()” so that the IP addresses transferred to Google are only processed in short form to exclude the possibility that this data could be directly associated with you. Google will use this data for the evaluation of your use of the website, to create reports on website activity for our website and to provide further services in connection with the website and Internet use. Google is allowed to transfer this data to third parties as well, insofar as this is required by law or third parties process this data on Google's behalf. Google will not assign your IP address to any other Google data. You can also prevent the installation of Google Analytics cookies through the corresponding setting in your browser, whereas we would like to notify you that—if you do so—you may not be able to use the full range of functions on our website. Additionally, you can object to future data collection and data storage for Google Analytics at any time using Google’s browser plugin function (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en). For more information about Google Analytics, see: (http://www.google.com/intl/en/analytics/learn/privacy.html). When you visit our website using a mobile device, you can deactivate Google Analytics by clicking the button: (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en)
Insofar as personal data is processed in this regard, we conduct this processing within the scope of our legitimate interest in our own marketing purposes. We protect your interests by anonymizing your IP address during data collection so that you cannot be identified. The legal basis for this processing is found in Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Objection to data collection
You can prevent the collection of your data through Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. This will place an opt-out cookie on your device that will prevent the collection of your data during future visits to this website: Deactivate Google Analytics.
Facebook Pixel
Our website uses the visitor activity pixel from Facebook, Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”).
In this way, site visitor behavior can be tracked once visitors have been forwarded to the provider's website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This makes it possible to measure the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market-research purposes and to optimize future advertising measures.
The data gathered here remains anonymous to us as operators of this website; we are not able to draw any conclusions concerning users’ identities. However, this data is stored and processed by Facebook so that associating it with the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes in keeping with the Facebook Data Policy. This enables Facebook to place ads on Facebook pages as well as outside of the Facebook platform. As a site operator, we are unable to influence this use of the data.
Use of Facebook Pixel occurs on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has legitimate interest in effective advertising measures, including social media.
Further statements regarding the protection of your privacy can be found in the Facebook Data Policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
Additionally, you can deactivate the remarketing function “Custom Audiences” in the section Facebook Ad Settings at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. To do so, you must be registered on Facebook.
If you do not have a Facebook account, you can deactivate behavioral advertising from Facebook using the website of the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: https://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices.
SECURITY
All personal information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Unfortunately, the transmission of information over the Internet is not entirely secure. As soon as we receive your information, we will implement strict procedures and security functions in order to prevent unauthorized access as far as possible.
TRANSFER OF YOUR DATA
We are permitted to transfer your data when this is required by law or when we commission third parties to process your data under our supervision; however, this occurs under strict observance of applicable laws and regulations. In this regard, we are also permitted to process your data through employees who may operate from outside of the European Economic Area and who work for us, our subsidiaries, or for one of our suppliers.
DATA RETENTION PERIOD AND YOUR RIGHTS
We will retain your personal data as long as this is necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy, except in cases where a longer retention period is required or permissible by applicable law.
